The day after the race, Denver Gay Pride concludes with a parade downtown, where there are hundreds of floats and even more individuals who march in the streets, creating an explosion of color and love to take over Colorado's capital. A stretch of Colfax Avenue is closed for the Sunday parade, from Franklin Street west to Broadway. Celebrations at local establishments begin the week of PrideFest, with a conclusion of the entire celebration the following Sunday. PrideFest generally occurs the third weekend of June.
